I thought I'd share a couple of photos of the Sophia Electric Model 91-01 300B mono amplifiers that have just arrived for review at Positive Feedback Online.

Directly heated single ended triode (DH-SET) amplifiers have always held a special place in my heart, as they do certain aspects of musical reproduction so magically that it's hard not to be a little mesmerized by them. Oh, and those beautiful tubes!

Just look at those vacuum tubes in the Sophia (the name 'Sophia' always brings to mind the actress Sophia Loren), they're really impressive.

They're fresh out of the shipping container, so I've got them warming up and breaking in, so I don't have any listening impressions yet, but I thought a little vacuum tube beauty would enhance your day.
