My morning started off with a bang today when I got a couple of text messages from my buddy Dave about a yard sale and an estate sale with some pristine records in it - thanks, Dave!
I jumped in my Leaf and headed out to check the sales out, and I made quite a score of a variety of albums that had vinyl that was in mint condition: RCA Living Stereo's, London's, vintage rock & roll, big band, oldies, jazz, and other stuff.
At 50¢ each I decided to be adventurous and bought a number of records I wasn't even slightly familiar with.
This weekend my top priority is to finish writing up the feature length Acoustic Revive Chronicles, Chapter 13, article for Positive Feedback, with coverage of the new RPT-6 Absolute NCF Power Distributor, Power Reference TripleC NCF AC Power Cord, and the RAS-14-TripleC NCF Power Stabilizer.
It's good stuff!
I'm about two-thirds of the way done with writing the article and shooting photos, and am writing up my listening impressions at the moment.
I've also received the next installment of Yazaki-san's article, My Adventure With My Old Marantz Model 7, which is a real treat!
I know you're all looking forward to reading the next installment of Yazaki-san's article (as am I!), and I hope to get it published for you over the weekend.
The Duelund DCA12GA speaker cables & interconnects have come off the Cooker after a week of conditioning, and I want to share the results with you about how that turned out as well.
I also have an exciting Today's Fresh Catch post to share with you as well, and I hope to have that up for you this weekend as well. - more about that soon!
Also, I posted a new page for you this morning, The Music List, which you can see in the top navigation bar. Quite a few of you have been asking me to publish a list of my favorite music, and it’s something I know I need to do, but it’s a daunting task – that’s a lot of music! So, I started simply by adding just a couple of albums, and then I’ll add to my album list over time until it more closely resembles my total list of favorite music – please wait for it!

Update: I almost forgot to tell you about something really important!
If you haven't yet had the opportunity to watch the American Epic Sessions, I recommend you do it at your earliest opportunity, it is beyond amazing!
The American Epic Sessions is a feature-length film produced by Jack White and T Bone Burnett (Robert Redford is also mentioned in the credits) about contemporary artists like Beck, Merle Haggard, Elton John, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Steve Martin (Yes, that Steve Martin!), Willie Nelson, Blind Boy Paxton, Raphael Saadiq, Jack White, and many others, being recorded on restored vintage Western Electric microphones, amplifiers, and other equipment, direct to wax disk. It is the first time that anyone has been recorded on the old Western Electric recording gear in over 80 years.
You can learn more about the American Epic sessions on their website, on PBS here, and at least for the moment, you can stream the entire film on PBS here.
I was so blown away I had tears running down my face through half of the film, and I immediately ordered the Blu-ray disc from Amazon.
It is my hope that the American Epic Sessions will be released on vinyl at some point, it would be an amazing collection to own!

Ok, now it's time to get back to work with my ears and fingers to finish up my Acoustic Revive article for Positive Feedback!
As always, thanks for stopping by, and may the tone be with you!
