Happy 90th Birthday, Mom!
We (Dad, Mom, and me) had a terrific 90th birthday celebration for Mom yesterday here at Jeff's Place.
For dinner I played chef and cooked mesquite grilled filet mignon, Beurre Monté lobster tails, baked potatoes with trimmings, carrots, and champagne to drink.
Birthday cake and Portland's Stumptown fresh roasted coffee for dessert. (Stumptown is my new favorite coffee, wonderful coffee!)
Afterwards we opened presents, chatted, and reminisced about old (and current) times.
Mom introduced me to jazz as a little boy when she took me to the Lloyd Center shopping mall in Portland, Oregon, to listen to Louis Armstrong and his band play a parking lot concert.
They used to do that back then in the USA with jazz, can you imagine that happening today?
I've been listening to jazz and Louis Armstrong ever since then, for over 50 years!
We had jazz streaming over the big Westminster Royal SE loudspeakers from Jazz24. A good day, and a fun time.
Happy Birthday Mom! 🙂
