The Duelund Project: Canterbury Tales

04-20-2013 | By Jeff Day |

I know that a number of you have been inquiring about upgrading your Tannoy Canterbury SE loudspeakers with Duelund components, so I thought I'd post this note from Pambos:

CSE 1

"Today I visited my customer with the inboard upgraded Canterbury crossovers. I took some pictures. Are not the best pictures because I didn't remove the crossovers and it wasn't easy to take photos inside the cabinets. This customer has a collection of 15,000 cds, 5,000 lps and 10,000 movies!"

CSE 2

CSE 6

"The capacitors are the VSF copper for the hi-frequencies, VSF aluminum for low frequencies all from Duelund. Inductors are North Creek air core replacing Tannoy's iron cores. He is absolutely happy with the upgrade and he didn't spent a fortune! Note that the blue capacitor has been replaced by the the black one on the top. See the size difference. We left the blue one there and we just disconnected it and connected the Duelund big black one!"

CSE 3

"The volume and the stage of the bass has increased almost as the size of the capacitor!"

CSE 4

"You can publish the photos so your readers don't complain that we leave out of the party the Canterbury owners!"

CSE 5

"The two photos of the original crossover were sent to me by Lance who is in the process of upgrading his Canterburys."

Thank you Pambos for sending the Canterbury SE upgrade photos. Let the games begin!

Thanks for stopping by!
