Frank's New Westminster Royal SEs

07-06-2010 | By Jeff Day |

Say 'Hi!' to fellow music and Tannoy lover Frank Rodgers. Frank's been into Tannoys for a long time, his first pair of Tannoy speakers being the GRF Windsors, which he owned from 1971 to 1996. From 1996 to June 2010 Frank was running the GRF Memory speakers, and he just bought a pair of  pair of Westminster Royal SEs. Frank kept his Memorys though, and I think Frank is inspiring me to get another pair of Tannoys one of these days.

Frank is using the 20 watt KR VA 340 integrated amplifier with the 300 BXLS tubes, a Linn LP12 turntable with the Ekos arm and Akiva cartridge, and Van den hul Inspiration bi-wire speaker cables & Van den hul Orchid interconnects.

Frank particularly enjoys listening to opera and operetta on his new Westminsters, and if you look carefully you'll notice that the painting between the speakers is of Wagner composing an opera.

That's a beautiful system Frank!
