Today's Fresh Catch: Duelund CAST Silver Capacitors!

12-04-2013 | By Jeff Day |

As I mentioned in my Sneak Peek a little while back, Frederik Carøe, the founder of Duelund Coherent Audio, was building up a set of his exotic Duelund Coherent Audio CAST Silver Capacitors for me to try in the Duelund-Westminster Royal SE High-Frequency Crossover!

Well, today they arrived - talk about an exciting development!

I was excited to see the Duelund Silver CAST capacitors, and I pulled them out of their shipping box as soon as I brought them home from FedEx.

If you look closely at the labels on the plastic bags you'll see they read "PURE SILVER AND SILK LEADS HANDMADE IN DENMARK".

Each CAST Silver Capacitor was hand autographed - very nice touch!

I quickly took them out of the plastic bags so I could look at them up close in the nude.

As I mentioned in my Sneak Peek, these are the 6.8 uF capacitors that go in the C1 position of the Duelund-Westminster Royal SE high-frequency crossover.

I hope you can get a good look below at the pure ribbon silver leads covered in silk - they are a wow!

... it is a little hard to tell in my photo, but the CAST Silver capacitor has the same textured surface as you saw in the earlier construction photos I posted ...

I'll be excited to get the Duelund 6.8 uF CAST Silver Capacitors installed into the Duelund-WRSE crossovers in the C1 position ... you can see the CAST Copper Capacitors in the C1 position in the lower left of the photo below ... that's where the CAST Silvers will go.
