If you've read the Sablon Audio Panatela Special Edition Component Speaker Cable review at Positive Feedback Online you know how much I've been enjoying listening to music on the combination of an EMT TSD-15 phono cartridge, VPI Classic 'table, New Valve Order SPA-II phono stage, Sablon Audio Panatela interconnects & speaker cables, ASR Audiosysteme Emitter II Exclusive Version Blue amplification by Herr Schaefer, and the statement Tannoy Kingdom Royal loudspeakers (and of course the very effective Acoustic Revive accessories I always use in my system).
In fact, after the review concluded I was so excited about listening to music I ordered a batch of new LPs from Acoustic Sounds. One of my all-time favorite Mercury Living Presence LPs is Antal Dorati conducting the London Symphony Orchestra performing Copland's Appalachian Spring & Billy The Kid, so it was with great anticipation that I unwrapped the Speakers Corner reissue of said LP after it arrived today.
I'm listening to the LP right now as I write this post and I'm just blown away with the music! The Panatela speaker cables have the ability to make an orchestral performance as intimate and present as a small group jazz performance ... frankly I'm amazed at what I'm hearing. Copland is one of my favorite American composers and this LP is full of exciting music. If you've been looking for a new classical LP to listen to and haven't yet experienced Dorati's version of Appalachian Spring & Billy The Kid you owe it to yourself to get a copy of this classic American music in this Speakers Corner reissue - it's solid gold! Highly recommended!
