While the full details have not yet been released, Leben has announced that they will be offering a new amplifier: the CS-1000P, which is based on the KT120 vacuum tube (click on the photos for larger images).
Stylistically, the CS-1000P power amplifier is on a chassis similar to the CS-660P, which in my opinion is quite a work of art.
The information that Yoshi Hontani sent me suggests that the output power is in the range of 90-100 Watts per channel, or about double the power of the CS-660P. Interestingly, the CS-1000P has a triode/pentode switch (below).
The cost of the CS-1000P has not yet been announced. In the photo below notice that there is an adjustment to optimize bias for the KT120 output tubes.
The CS-1000P power amplifier will become more widely available this Autumn. For more information world-wide, please contact Yoshi Hontani, Managing Director, the MuSon Project, Inc.. In North America please contact Jonathan Halpern of Tone Imports for more information.
