New Acoustic Revive Products Coming In December

12-04-2010 | By Jeff Day |

I found out that there are a couple of new Acoustic Revive products being released towards the middle to end of December, the first being the RUI - 1 USB Isolator.

The press announcement about the RUI-1 USB Isolator says,  "The biggest problem in PC based audio is the huge amount of ‘noise’ generated by the PC. The noise generated by an AC power supply can be reduced by operating the PC with a battery power supply or a noise reduction transformer. However, the noise generated by the PC itself is still free flowing into the audio equipment via the signal and power lines of the USB cable. This results in a serious degradation of signal quality. The Acoustic Revive RUI-1 can reduce the noise from the power and signal lines of the USB cable to a ‘nano’ level – in summary, the RUI-1 is a breakthrough product that can reduce the PC noise by near to 100%. The RUI-1 cable is the same as that used in our USB cable USB-1.0PL (8mm solid core PCOCC-A). It is also possible to use the same cable configuration as USB 1.0SP (two separate A plugs) at an extra cost."

The other item coming towards the end of December is the RBR-1 Battery Reference Power Supply.

Here's what the press release has to say about the RBR - 1 Battery Reference Power Supply. "Most PC based audio equipment is powered by DC with an AC/DC adaptor, based on a switching power supply. This adaptor generates a large amount of unwanted noise, badly damaging the quality of sound. RBR-1 is the worlds first battery based power supply, creating a clean wave form which allows us to achieve super low noise and a powerful sound constantly for a long period. Battery life is approx 2 years. You can nominate voltage when ordering (5 / 9 / 12 or 16V)"

I'll post more information as it becomes available.
