I've got good news! I just heard from Chris at Parts ConneXion and he told me that he's now stocking the Switchcraft 3502AAU RCA plugs at the same price as Mouser ($3.99 USD each) to offer an affordable alternative for those wanting to build DIY interconnect needs.
I also just heard from Frederik Carøe at Duelund Coherent Audio , and he's got good news too!
Many of you have been requesting a heavier version of the Duelund Coherent Audio tinned-copper tone-wire, so Frederik has developed the DCA12GA, which has a lot more tinned-wired conductor in it that will come in handy for lower efficiency speakers.
Frederik told me, "Some have asked for a bit “more metal” than the 16GA provides, so I've developed the DCA12GA. The DCA12GA has the same construction as the DCA16GA, but obviously with more strands to get us to 12 AWG."
The Duelund DCA12GA has 65 strands of 0.25mm tinned-copper conductors, compared to the DCA16GA's 26 strands of 0.25mm tinned-copper conductors, giving more than double the amount of conductors of the DCA16GA.
The new Duelund DCA12GA will be available by the end of March, and Parts ConneXion will have an exclusive on it until mid-summer.
The introductory price for the DCA12GA at Parts ConneXion will be $16.99 USD/meter.
Now with the Duelund DCA20GA, DCA16GA, and DCA12GA there is a Duelund tinned-copper tone-wire for nearly every application.
I'll keep you informed as I learn more!
As always, thanks for stopping by, and may the tone be with you!
